Acknowledgments
Richard Scheinin, Sara Solovitch, Syma Solovitch and Lynn Thompson proofread “The Forest Issue,” and Richard Scheinin offered helpful feedback on the issue’s layout and navigability.
Syma Solovitch generously contributes her skills, time and energy to administrative work for The Daughter’s Grimoire.
Philip Patyk, Jesse Scheinin and Joel Stanley gave valuable input on layout and design issues, and on software and technical questions.
Austin’s KUTX 98.9 helped Max Scheinin get into deep work grooves while laying out “The Forest Issue,” and he sends gratitude to that incredible station’s entire roster of DJs. The hours of design work to be done were the perfect opportunity for Scheinin to catch up on long episodes of What’s Next and Left of the Dial , and KUTX’s always stellar daily programming led him to Butcher Brown Presents Triple Trey, the album he listened to again and again during the long last nights he and Jamie Thompson were finishing “The Forest Issue.”
Anders Sandberg inspired Jamie Thompson’s fascination with the Green Man, an icon seen at key points throughout this issue.
In addition, the editors wish to thank Bruce Haynes, Frank Horvat, Jeffrey Kripal, Hudson Scheinin, Neil and Sandy Scheinin, d.L.shelly, Lucas Tensen, Criss Thompson, Doug Thompson, Sharlene Wallace, St. Anne’s Anglican Church (Toronto), and Libby Zeleke, without all of whom “The Forest Issue” would not have been possible.
